Scripture: Isaiah 49:19-21
After listening to two readings of the passage here is what we noticed.
- "Narrow Place" and "dwelling" similar to your mind. God is calling us to wake up and to be connected to God. Having children draws one out of that narrow place.
- The power of words. This passage is like poetry. Mysterious, obscure, and strange. It is dark but hopeful. One is surprised at the end. The word "narrow" was a reminder of the poem. A Narrow Fellow in the Grass by Emily Dickenson. We seem to devour and excrete truckloads of words at a frantic pace. What would happen if we were more careful and limited with our words?
