MICAH offers ministries for body, mind and spirit including contemplative and silent prayer, meditation, spirituality, spiritual direction, and retreat center. The Family Practice and Integrative Medicine Center also offers holistic health and healing services including integrative, complimentary, alternative, and natural medicine, replacement therapy, natural healing, natural menopause, bio-identical hormones, and replacement therapy.

Family Practice and Integrative Medicine Center

September 2004, marked the opening of the RiverView Family Practice and Integrative Medicine Center.

The opening of the Family Practice and Integrative Medicine Center represents "phase 1" of the MICAH Health Center. RiverView Health has been extremely supportive of our mission to create an integrative medicine center. They have provided us with the space and staff to run the clinic. Many services are covered by health insurance. We welcome all insurances. Telephone consultations are available in certain situations when an appointment at the clinic is prohibitive.

The clinic is located on the second floor of RiverView Hospital. For appointments call 218-281-9519. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Be welcomed into a unique environment with comfortable furnishings and homelike decor.

More About Integrative Medicine

The combination of medical approaches, referred to as integrative medicine, is growing rapidly in medical centers across the country and is becoming more widely accepted by the general public. .Many people who are using supplements or herbs today do so without talking about it with their personal doctors . They are either afraid their doctors won¹t approve or assume they don¹t have any experience or training in that area. Integrative medicine allows patients to see a doctor that can combine both approaches to medicine.

Our goal is to bring an interdisciplinary team together to offer comprehensive care. Staff function as a unified team with the ability to provide a full range of complementary and alternative services in a single setting. The team meets monthly to spend time reflecting on the vision of the center and developing our collaborative clinical work.

Integrative Medicine focuses on the patient as a whole, addressing all factors that affect health. The RiverView Family Practice and Integrative Medicine Center recognizes this as the key component to health and well being, and provides services for healing body, mind and spirit. The patient and practitioner partner to seek this health and healing.
